Lick this 🍭

Well I have a new dog issue lol 🤷‍♀️ 💧

So someone USED to be just like having a Velociraptor … we are out of that teething stage and he has melted into the family now.

BUT now… he just wants to hug me, and lick 👅 me always lol … which sounds all great, but little dude has MUCH saliva 👅💧 and is kinda big and solid for me

Ugh

When I come out of shower – I like to lotion up and smell all nice and be all hydrated lol – like a flower 🌺 lol – also need sun ☀️ …but shaded because am delicate with sun ✌️… but I like to be all lotioned

Plus I don’t know if you have ever gone through life just constantly being licked? 👅💧

Anyway – he licks all my lotion off and then I’m all slobbery 💧😝 I feel gross after constant slobbery licks

Sometimes when I walk in the room and he is on the couch being all good and looking all cute … I will just go over and kiss his head – just couple quick kisses 💋💋💋 lol …. But I swear mine are NOT slobbery! Nor open mouth 👄 just sweet little NON slobbery kisses to say I love you so much lol ❤️

So … I think his licks are his I love you’s – it’s just ugh slobbery constant licks 👅 💧

He likes to be with me at all times and I am the one he come to, to feel love and protection like a mom ❤️

There are times if I sit – when he wanna hug me – ok fine … go ahead, you may hug lol … but then he’s gotta be all up on me and snuggle in my neck type stuff … oh buddy… you can’t do that – watch the chest – you are not little

So we are working on that, cause boy is solid – I am not

But he has to constantly lick me – constantly my legs and my arms if he has a chance for those

Dude … ewww

Ok I love and appreciate all his love – but I can’t have so much licking and slobber 👅 💧

It’s not bad thing so I don’t want to scold him – but teach him maybe not to do so much?

I would like to smell nice and not be all slobbery?? Ewww

Ok so how to teach boundaries with licking ?? 😮😄😄 omg 🤦‍♀️

This is so funny, how do I make it less ? 😮🤷‍♀️ we play all the time and he’s my little right hand man

He has wonderful sweet funny personality ❤️

It’s just all the licking and slobber that is getting little much? Boundaries lol ✌️🤷‍♀️

Ok so how do I teach that?

The velociraptor stage was fun

But what do you do for licky love stage? Seriously 🤷‍♀️ … it’s increasing little by little

I can’t believe I am writing a post about how to make something not constantly lick you lol … SOME of the problems I face – I swear life has a sense of humor too ❤️

  1. Your furry friend’s affection is adorable, but I can see how the constant licking can be challenging. Maybe you could try gentle redirection or use a command like ‘enough’ when the licking gets too much. It’s all about teaching boundaries while still appreciating the love! 🐶❤️

      But he is a good boy ❤️ I have a few ideas to try and see what happens 👏

  3. Ah Doby is a licker!

    There are a few methods – – Scrappy went through a phase of non-stop licking – so for Doby and you – try to ignore him when he is licking you – he is doing it for a number of reasons, exploration of your world now that he is older he is curious, he is saying he loves you, he is over grooming himself and thinks you need grooming especially given your lotion applications, it can also be attention seeking – the best way to attemt to stop it is to establish more permanent boundaries.

    1. Funny I did not think to check YouTube 😮 thank you – I don’t know why I didn’t think of that – I went straight for google which kinda sucks – never gives me good results

      Oh he wets you – he is very slobbery – you still be wet or wetter 😝

      I do not think I will miss that … a quick lick is fine but no slobbering all over me lol
