Who says you have to do social media? Surely not work? I have heard this before, simply say you don’t have any social media. In truth it’s no one effing business what social media you do or don’t have, l find it terribly invasive.
I have FB – but only use it to message and l use it because l belong to groups – like worms and composting [yes l am a Geek hahaha], but l only have a few friends who never bother with me anyway. Plus l have an Instagram Account which l don’t use .. https://www.instagram.com/earthenwurmin/
and l have WP, and that is it.
But then l work for myself and don’t need to show employers my sm.
BUT if l did l would tell them to fuck off.

Well this is the way of the world now… everyone wants you on social media – when you don’t have it – they don’t understand why you don’t.
And in business – you are supposed to network and things with social media.
I do have a Facebook – it just floats out there … I have not opened it or logged in since 2019 when I went silent.
If I log in – it will be a huge thing – everyone will want to know what happened – I have a ton of family and friends there – which is why I keep it – to keep them in a way?
…and then I also worry my ex will use to stalk me – so I just don’t touch it.
I just like the peace
I believe I have instagram but I have never done anything with it. No posts, no likes, no nothing – never used that cause I never liked it – maybe logged in when I initially created cause my family wishes me to have social media to so they can see me – but I am not this type and don’t like photos online
I’m very careful. My ex will use these things against me – 100%
And yes employers wish you to have social media skills and that is one of the ways they look at you.
When we hire someone – they dive into who they are online so we already know about you and who you are.
It’s the way of the world now

I hate the fact that employers think they have some divine rights to my social life which is why l would simply say, l don’t use it and l don’t want it. I ‘network’ with real people. As to worried about satan, yes l understand that all too well. You could block him of course and then he would never see anything you post, it’s a complete block. I have blocked people on my FB, like my ex wife who was the female satan.
But the best way is to just not have any. 🙂

If he can’t see he would have someone else – he is out for blood – anything he can do to take me down.
He is blocked and my Facebook that does float around out there is locked down with ultra privacy – but I don’t even trust that
Well is more way for networking in certain industries or places and can open you up for bigger opportunities
But I just like the silence from all that – it is way too much for me
With stalkers and I find social media extremely negative… I think it’s kinda mean… and everyone is angry
I don’t trust algorithms either – they brainwash
So I just prefer to not have any.

It seems like you’re frustrated with the pressure to be on social media and the lack of privacy it brings. You appreciate the peace without it. You’re determined to find a way around it. I refuse social media – if they block non-users, so be it.
One loophole: If the site lets you see a few posts before blocking (Instagram) you can clear your browsing history and go to the site again. But you’ll loose your browsing history – but all those sites will loose tracking you!
Only other option is to make accounts but never post. Use them only for viewing others.
Also, you can make accounts under decoy names, so no one who knows you by legal name will see them.

Yeah… that comment feels very AI. It does nothing more than spew what it was fed. If someone has a script to read blogs and post, that’s exactly what it would look like. I can’t progam AI that well yet.

Sometimes they want us to post pics on companies Facebook (it’s not actually Facebook – they made their own 🫤🙄)
They want photos of the charity work and outreach – I do not want to be in the photos 👎 or online!
But even normal everyday companies want your social media – it seems? For interaction, when looking at jobs, etc
