Lake Tahoe

This is much closer to me than San Francisco … I am close to Lake Tahoe ❤️ … I used to drag the kids hiking or picnics lol … or as my middle son says “torture” them lol – they will appreciate one day.

I just really love the peace of Lake Tahoe and it just will humble you!! You realize how truly tiny you are in this world!! I’m telling you – it will take your breath away!

I am not one for casinos 🎰… they are fine and everything – but don’t have the beauty or the peace I want, plus too many crowds – I am not a huge crowd person normally – I like my space … I want to absorb peace and beauty. ❤️

Anyway… this is a view of Lake Tahoe – outside of the casinos – the real Lake Tahoe … MY Lake Tahoe ❤️ (yes I lay claim here lol ✌️ this is my spot ❤️)

And the next few photos are from Squaw Valley… which was the home of the 1960 Winter Olympic Games VIII… held between February 18–28, 1960. Way way way before I was even a thought lol 😄✌️

This pool is heated … I love sun and pools just like anyone else … but it was freezing this day… as you can see no one attempted lol … you would be fine in the water – but good luck coming out into the cold!! 🥶 … I’m good with that thanks lol ✌️ I don’t purposely try to catch pneumonia lol – or anything else for that matter ✌️

So… that’s the Squaw Valley Ski Resort (these photos were taken in summer time, so obviously no skiing)
