Alright so I have to go actually “live” today lol… the past 2 days I took a breather. I have to prepare for tonight
Tonight is family night ❤️ … I always look forward to Friday’s because of that!!
I know the subject is going to be the virus 🤨… all their things were cancelled left and right… their school is still holding on until a child is diagnosed so far… but anything else – all sports and band …ANY get together has been cancelled for them.
My daughter is a little mad they are still in school lol… she wants it off… but I told her – if they cancel your school you will have to make that up… so you could be looking at going to school in the summer, should they cancel … I’m sorry but that would suck!! In my opinion!! She may not have a summer vacation if they cancel!! 😮
She’s waiting and hoping though lol – every day she hopes it’s cancelled.
And it’s just been effecting them left and right with all these cancellations and hits.
My sons haven’t said too much, but I’m sure they will tonight.
We probably won’t go anywhere tonight… we will probably just have a nice dinner and then play board games. Just kinda relax and stay in.
Gonna be a nice quiet easy night ❤️
It’s been nice to breathe for a minute this week… I know everyone else is freaking out but it gave me a minute to slow down. I really needed that. I’ve had peace this week despite what’s happening around me…
Was a little touch and go on Sunday Monday Tuesday … but then silence – so absorbed it.

My son is the same. Still no schools closed here. So pleased you got that time.

😮😮😮 whoa really?? I am surprised!!! 😮
I believe my own kids school will be shutting down next week. That’s the “rumor” and they are the only schools in the area still open 😄😄 … my daughter is not pleased lol 😄😄
The time and decompression? Is really nice! I took 2 days to catch my breath and I am recharged somewhat…
I have my own training to do online for my school so I will complete that… and then still have things on my plate so ready to handle that too.
Luckily if they do call off school this week for my daughter I will get some really amazing time with her ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I don’t wanna sound bad … but can we just maybe have this once a year “without” the virus?? Lol 😄✌️

I know what you mean. It would be lovely. They won’t shut the schools because of the effect on the economy and the NHS is already understaffed and can’t afford to lose more staff due to child care problems.

Well they shut my kids school down and now both my school AND their schools are shut down until April 13th!! Same district … so now we all home 😄😳
Oh I dunno – it’s a health crisis and if your people over there are reacting like my people over here – Oh my god! Get ready!
Our economy is tanking and having the schools shut down will force parents to stay home (aka childcare issues) and some depend on their job like I do!!
NHS? Your healthcare?
This is the reason they shutting everything down over here – cause our medical community can not handle the rate that it is spreading ,.. this way they slow the rate of infection and instead of stampedes rushing the hospitals – just be trickles ✌️

Will it hurt you if your sons school closes? Is he hoping school closes? Are people in massive panic where you are? Or is just a “mild” panic currently? Lol
Also… on a side note… my mother age 72 is in a nursing home… it’s a memory care facility… they have now completely closed their doors – no visitors 😮… which is good – cause Oh my god! Please dear god do not let me lose my mother completely!! Not ready!! So keep those doors closed!! But that’s gonna be tough!! They just did that tonight… so haven’t talked to her since yesterday… didn’t even bring it up – so she probably has zero clue… but I hope they remind her well to wash hands and wash up – she forgets ALOT!! 😳

Yes it’s our tax funded largely free health service. We have had right wing governments for about 10 years and they have hammered it. Now we need it and strangely it’s struggling. Here the reason why our approach is different to virtually every other country is emerging. The government has decided the best fix is to get as many as 60% of the population infected to build up herd immunity. They are keeping schools open and trying to keep things like concerts going to try and get the fit infected. It’s all very x-files.
It’s crap circumstances but I really hope you get that time with your daughter.

😮{Gasp }😳 … so they gonna let you and your people just catch it, in hopes to build your immunity?? … what about your elderly population? Is that small?
That’s kinda like natural selection?… just want to keep the strong ones – screw the old or the weak 😮 (forgive me please if is harsh, don’t mean to be, just concerned for people)
But aren’t your people still kinda panicking a little bit? Your stores are same as ours so they are panicking right?
Not that we have a leader that puts us at ease (cause we don’t lol) … but wow… your government 😮 thats a little bothersome to me…

I guess that’s one way to look at it and handle it.
We do live in a world where we can travel anywhere now… and these viruses can happen in a moments notice (as we are currently watching it happen in real time across the world)
So I dunno… I think I would want to try to slow the progress at least until meds or vaccines are avail.
And if your healthcare system is already struggling, what are they going to do when hoards of people just bombard the hospitals? Wouldn’t slowing the spread be easier for the healthcare system to handle?
All other countries, including China – tried to slow it or stop it.
Your government would make me uneasy – sounds medieval 😳

Yes … I will get to spend a lot of time with all my kids – my oldest still is working – his job won’t shut down … some jobs won’t or can’t. Some people have no choice.
We don’t have anything in place to handle such a thing… but my funeral home even said … if you are sick just stay home… and if is the coronavirus you must stay home until you are well… if you have sick leave (which I do NOT have here… because I am too new) then they could/would still pay the sick leave. In my case, if I get sick- I just have to stay home, no pay from funeral home. I am not in contact with tons of people here and many are opting to have services in May instead of right now… so is quiet here. I am not too worried
But some do not have the luxury of being able to be sick… some places are being extremely supportive and banks or your bills say they will work with you should you be effected
I have never seen the reaction that we have seen with this, and no one really knows… so cross your fingers and hope for the best. It’s just all crazy
I’ll be thinking and hoping for you guys though – stay healthy and strong … and hopefully you have enough toilet paper ✌️

they actually have banned our travel to pretty much everywhere… today the UK and Ireland are both banned – we aren’t letting anyone in
And Trump declared A State of Natural Emergency 🚨
So they are trying to make testing more avail and we see what happens
Does make you feel cut off from the world – not that I go anywhere or anything 😄✌️

A few are panic buying. Just enough to clear the shelves. But must are just continuing on as normal. People are concerned but still pretty civil. But you can sense a dawning in many that the government are clearly up to something or completely useless. All seems like most countries have stopped working together. Which is sad and stupid. But I did see China is trying to help Italy.

Well, people are civil here too and you can’t stop living all together lol… we aren’t running around like crazy people waving our arms in the air panicking or anything lol
But people are going way crazy staying away from others… some use masks, some wear gloves or have a hand sanitizer with them, no more shaking hands or god forbid a hug lol
I told my kids that on my last day of school… I popped my head into each classroom and said “I just wanted to say goodbye to you guys for now, I will see you in a few weeks” every single kid in every single classroom stopped what they were doing and ran over to me for hugs 🤗… I gladly took that ❤️
My own children looked at me mortified while telling that story 😄😄
But people are still going out, still going to the store to buy everything 🤨, still doing things – just more alert and cautious of others and staying home more rather than having outings
We have a casino nearby… they are still open… I have a girlfriend that works there – I asked her yesterday… you closed yet? … she said …nope we still goin 😮
I said.. oh wow!! Are the crowds less?
She said yeah, crowds are not as big, but they still come.
So whatever… our governor of California doesn’t want any gathering of more than 250 people. So they just try to keep small and as little contact as possible
We are all about the hand washing and hand sanitizer BIG TIME!!! And if you cough or sneeze … people clear away from you… it reminds me of pepper on water … when you put a bar of soap 🧼 into it lol … the pepper moves away fast lol
The kids are all making jokes … some people panic others frustrated by the shut downs … it’s just a different world than what we are used to at the moment … we have never seen a response like this one … so some say it’s just like the flu not a big deal, and some say is more serious…
Ya know… so whatever… I kinda like breathing for a minute… so I am ok with whatever. So far I am not too antsy… and I have a second job.
Our stock market is just crazy… so those people are panicking too lol😄 … ahh the almighty dollar 😄😄✌️
This is life so whatever will be will be.
I saw that with China helping Italy … Jack Ma… ❤️ I love to see people stepping up to help others!
Maybe the world needs a lesson here? Cause this didn’t matter who you are, what you are, if you are rich or poor, what color, or nationality you are, where you are from – none of that mattered – we are all in the same boat.
But whatever just saying. ✌️
