Rare 🌚

I wanted to share this because today is Halloween 🎃… and tonight …

Tonight we have a Blue Moon 🌚 … the last blue moon we had ON Halloween … was 2001…

After tonight… we won’t see another Halloween 🎃 blue moon 🌚, until 2039!! 😮😮

It is not truly a “blue moon” they just call it that because is the SECOND full moon in one month… moon cycles are 29 days. So is rare and even more rare to fall exactly on Halloween… hence the saying “once in a blue moon” 🌚💙

I guess 2020 is pretty rare through and through

And 3 planets be around the moon too… oh I hope I can see ❤️❤️❤️ no clouds tonight please 🙏🙏🙏

Mars will be to the right, Saturn 🪐 and Jupiter will be south

I have an app on my phone called SkyView ❤️❤️❤️ it lets me point my phone to the sky and it will show me and tell me every single thing about what I have pointed at, where everything is, all the constellations 🌌 everything ❤️

You should check that out… look for “SkyView” – is sooo cool!!! ❤️ I love that app!!!

  1. And time change. I can’t recall how long they said it will be till another blue moon on a Halloween when time is changing (never? Since CA voted to stop doing time change.)

    1. Oh wait that’s right… do we change the clocks?

      I believe the iPhone changes automatically correct?

      A blue moon on Halloween will not occur again until 2039 – another 19 years

      Ohhhhh but when it falls on daylight savings time you mean 😮😮😮😱😱😱 that I do not know EVEN more rare!!

      I just got home… when I got out of car here … I smell smoke 🤨

      I better be able to see this moon!! 🤨 I will be soooo mad at 2020!!!

      1. I have to change 2 indoor clocks, and turn off daylight savings mode in my car. My tvs, phone, and computers auto update. I don’t care if my light timers and thermostat have the wrong time.

        We have slight cloud cover here. I don’t know if I’ll see the moon… but I also don’t care… there’s a full moon every month and daye/time are human constructs. Plus, if it’s visible I’ll be able to see it from my bed.

  4. I have been watching moon and Mars at night last few days. Till a few months back Saturn, Jupiter and Mars were close by and visible early morning 😇

    1. It’s so beautiful… I live in the country and you can really see so clearly out here ❤️ it’s beautiful ❤️

      We love to see the planets and constellations/stars ✨ 🪐 – I used to lay on a hammock with the kids, out back and watch the skies at night when they were little ❤️

      I haven’t done in a long time though … but I do still watch the skies myself ✌️

      2. Yes is extremely vibrant because there are no lights except what the moon and stars provide ❤️ it’s quite something!

        You would not be able to really see well in the city I work in… too many lights … and you just can’t really see as well.

        It is rare in cities … they miss a lot

        … meteor showers are incredible!!! ❤️ I just wish their timing was exact so I could plan sleep around them 😄✌️… but they are still really cool when you can catch them ✨

        When I was little we lived in Florida for a little while… very close to Kennedy Space Center ❤️❤️❤️ we used to go there a lot … So close that you could see space shuttle going up into space from our back yard!

        Not only do I love the skies for the science, but also I find it incredibly amazing how past cultures and people used the stars and the skies for predictions or ways to read what was to come. And of course there is just the simple beauty as well ❤️

      6. Yeah… it was pretty cool… except we were also there in 1986 with the Challenger 😔

        My mom has that on video tape from our back yard.. I was in school… we were outside watching the whole thing… then stood stunned 😳… they rushed us into the cafeteria and there we sat all day long watching CNN

        I remember that like was yesterday. I was 13 in January of 86

      8. This is very true – but incredible things a person can see (good and bad) within one lifetime! 😮

        In December???? My daughter turns 14 in December 😮 … we have alot of coincidences …

        My daughters birthday is December 16th … what is your granddaughters birthday?

      13. I did… like a baby lol … I was out the minute my head hit that pillow lol

        And the funny thing is – I forgot to set my alarm 😮 … and I woke up when what normally would be 6:30 😮 … but thanks to daylight savings time we fell back so was actually only 5:30 😄😄 so right on time lol woo hoo!!! The time change actually helped me this morning lol … bonus

      17. Oh yes I slept well too 😊 early to bed and early to rise for me. It is still dark here and I have been up for an hour. Can see Venus, the morning star 🌟 and waiting for the dawn. I love the quietude of the mornings and have my fruits under the sunshine ☀️

        I get off work soon, I finished everything so as long as it stays quiet 🤫… it should be good 🙏

        Then my drive is about an hour, but is Sunday so should be a nice chill drive 😊❤️ Sundays are always the best traffic wise

Happy Halloween!🎃 Thanks for the app suggestion I have never heard about this app so everytime I looked on the sky I had to find the things like the red planet, the seven star cluster (Saptarishi), orion and orion’s belt etc. on my own lol. Though I have been taught the techniques of finding these stars in school but still I’m not professional so yah sometime I get confused lol But next time if I get confused then I have that app which I can use lol.

    1. I use that app all the time!! It fascinates me to see and know everything 😄😄 like you said VERY easily lol

      Anytime I show it to anyone – I blow them away with it and get them addicted lol ❤️ it’s a very cool app ❤️

      When I was younger in school – on a different subject… “math” 😝😝😝 … we didn’t have phones or anything on us at all times

      The teachers used to say – you won’t always have a calculator around lol 😄 well they were wrong lol yay! Bonus!!

      1. lol I heard about some of west countries allow calculators in the exam hall also. But I live in a country where using a calculator is very rare. Even our whole education system is not support that kind to usage of technical machines which will gonna help us during exams. So we have to do integrations, derrivatives and etc etc on our own without taking a help from calculator. The funny fact is we all have calculators on our phones but calculator on an Indian’s phone is useless for the entire year lol. We imagine that though that if we get a chance to use calculators in our school exams or university exams that will help us to score good marks very easily but at the same time without using a calculator for the whole student life help us to manage day to day basis calculations and we do it without having a help of calculators. Not about only calculators we are not that much use apps and digital facilities in day to day basis. But again some of all us do that and use digital things like apps and and calculators and all that kind of stuffs which are available in mobiles or laptops but most of us don’t use that. So I have no Idea about these kind of apps are available to denote stars and planets until you told me lol. That is interesting though I’m excited to use this. I haven’t use it yet but I downloaded gonna use that tonight after dinner in the midnight lol.😂

      2. Yeah our education systems can be relaxed with that here … but is better to do on own… what if technology goes down? What if is not available to you will you know how to do? Is important to know for self!! You aren’t doing any favors with a calculator lol

        Everything is technology based here – very VERY technology based!! Everything is at your fingertips!!

      3. The app is more than my imagination actually. It works pretty well though last night. I tried and it is good at it’s work lol. I never expected that much lol. It find out mars and orion’s belt last night very clearly. But the late night was little bit cloudy so i couldn’t catch the jupiter, mercury and saturn so a little bit upset lol. But never mind I’m gonna sit tonight again on my rooftop lol. Watching stars under open sky is like addiction for me lol so yah gonna try it tonight again ✌️

      It’s funny when I would work with the police… it never failed – people would seem to go crazy during full moons lol… I always thought that was just an old wives tale… but they kinda do – weird things with full moons lol
