Ugh … rough morning…
The windows on my old car will not roll up… they rolled all the way down when I did not want them to!! It’s electronic – so I don’t know how to get them back up ?? Is broken
They have done it before, but they have always eventually gonna back up
Ugh … so I had to drive all the way to work with both windows completely open… with smoke 😝 … and they are still open…
I have the car parked out back behind the gate… and I have the security camera back there fixed on my car, so I can keep an eye on
So today I look lovely lol 😄😄🙄
That was a fun drive on 4 highways!! NOT!
Also… they tell me I am working at ugly walls – I get there and the other girl is there … I said what you doing here?
I’m supposed to be at mine – I am so confused – they changing things constantly… I don’t know where I’m supposed to be!!
Well anyway – there was a death call she had to give to me anyway… so I took that.
I was waiting to call family because happened in middle of night last night… I was letting them kinda wake up and be ok before I called…
But they called me first. Now I am waiting for them to call me back to schedule them to come in.
Fire update:
Thank you to the other states and countries jumping in to help us… thank you to all my hero fire fighters ❤️❤️❤️
And I have to get back to work!
I will be back at some point… maybe later ?? Or tonight… We see
Is anything else not working? With luck, you’ve blown a fuse, which is easy to fix.
If there’s any window glass above the door, try pushing the up button and pulling/guiding the glass back to position. If it can’t be moved, the glass may be off track (easy to have fixed), the window motor may have died, or maybe some wiring shorted out.

I have called a couple places … I think is motor and regulator 😝😔
I am trying to find someone to fix… my normal person is down due to surgery

I’m gonna hope it’s just a fuse.

I don’t think it is… I think is the window motor and regulator… if it was just a fuse it would be all 4 windows but the back still work perfectly … and I think Toyota’s have that issue – it’s very old – I have a classic lol… 1998… so that’s 22 years lol Oh my god!
I have a mobile mechanic coming to check it out tmrw morning at work. I’ve been talking to him today… he will come and check it out and give me an estimate 🙏 please don’t kill me!!! Omg
I’m gonna think the worst, and if it’s better than that- I will be relieved!

The back could be on a different fuse. Motor is usually only a single window. Regulator and fuse could cause similar symptoms. I just don’t want you to get ripped off if it’s something you or a friend could easily do! I had a friend who was quoted some redonk ptice to fix multiple electronic issues. I realized it was probably a fuse and fixed it for about $5.
No matter what, at least it’s a Toyota and not a Honda. After all my troubles with my Civic rejecting non-factory parts, I’ll never but another Honda! I drove my Toyota into the ground and I looooove my used Lexus!!!

Yeah my little Toyota been amazing ❤️ great little car ❤️ I had no idea how awesome Toyota’s were until this little one ❤️
When back East … my favorite vehicles were Subaru’s ❤️❤️❤️ all wheel drive ❤️ they would have rust issues back east because of all the salt used in winter. But those were also great little cars!! Love Subaru’s
I do not know Lexus’s lol
I had a Honda once – did not like it either – ended up having transmission issues which reminded me of Ford lol
I will check the fuse ❤️ thank you very much for helping ❤️❤️ I am not a car person at all in slightest lol
I am girly very very girly lol
Yeah if he goes too high – I won’t be able to do that. 😔 so we see 🙏🙏🙏🙏 please be simple!!!

❤️ … sometimes the girly girl thing frustrates me, I am slowly learning other things lol
I am not used to doing certain things by myself with no one.
Thank you for trying to help walk me through it ❤️❤️❤️ I appreciate that very much!

I’ve always had a strong male side, which doesn’t attract men who will do things for me. So it’s good that I learned to do for my self!

Yeah, with the loss of my family and Satan coming at me hard – I used to be taken care of – didn’t handle certain things … so I have to learn them now. Not too easy cause that right side is also hard to deal with when I need to have physical strength… so that’s hard… probably the hardest moments of my entire life. But I am learning
And that’s a reason why I don’t date or don’t give my time, cause I am trying to do myself and learn… men want to just sweep in and take care of me… it’s a big thing!!!
I don’t want that yet. I want to learn first. I try very hard to also teach my daughter – the world is hard – good to know your shit!!
I never want to be in this position again so I do try very hard to learn the things I have no experience with. ✌️❤️

I’ve kinda based my life on gathering new experiences. I’d like to take auto repair sometime. I have some woodshop classes bookmarked for post pandemic. I have an extreme fear about handling power saws. I believe I’ll cut my fingers off and am not dumb enough to fight that intuition!
With cars, I was once watching a realky close male friend change spark plugs so I’d have that knowledge. A very small tube of oil is provided and as I joke, I used my high-pitched “barbie” voice and said, “oh.. look… they give you a free sample of lube”, clearly implying sex lube. Some guy was walking by, heard the exchange, and looked at my friend like, “aww… they’re cute when they’re dumb!” Still makes me laugh!!!

Lol that’s funny 😄😄
I do try to learn cars – and I do know more than I did before… it’s when you start really getting into the engine and mechanical or electronics that – I have no idea… but a class would be really cool if they would allow a slight learning curve – maybe a total beginners class lol … I have always wanted to learn and handle my own stuff! I’m not very strong though, and then of course that right side is wonky.
I sorta know how to handle power saws… my dad used to have a workshop in the basement and he made a lot of our furniture – like bunk beds or kitchen table and chairs … I would watch him and would give me wood to make my own things. He always made me follow the safety precautions and did help me with the saws – but I have used them… both with him and in high school (we were required to take Shop AND Home Economics) both girls and boys.
I did not hurt myself in Shop…
But I did hurt myself on a slicer once lol😄😄 – go figure

I did call an auto parts store and the guy was very helpful… but he was showing all windows connected by same fuse … if that was case – back ones wouldn’t work either … I will just have to see and pray 😳🙏

Do you have an electronic lock? Teh webs says you can try hitting you lock button and holding it down, or hit once then a 2nd time & hold, to see if it’s caused by the automatic window option.

Apparently a common unknown “feature” on Hondas and some other cars (long press of key fob unlock rolls down all windows, another type of press rolls down only front windows; long press of lock rolls them back up). I would think you should be able to get them back up via driver’s interior controls but what do I know?

Ha nope… I don’t have special things lol … very basic old car… no high end cool stuff – with the exception of a Eevee decal on the rear window ❤️
It’s very basic Toyota Corolla from 1998

Fuses are cheap and easy so check that first! Info below
The site below will show you the location of the interior fuse box and of the fuse in the panel. You want to check the 30A POWER fuse in the Fuse box in passenger compartment Toyota Corolla E110. (Scroll down the linked page)

I promise… last comment. Sound is also a good indicator. When my regulator quit, I could hear a clunk-clunk-clunk sound in the door as it tried to push the glass up. From the web:
“Turn the key to the Run position, but don’t start the car. If the fuse is blown, pushing a window button will do nothing at all: The motor won’t groan and the glass won’t quiver. If the fuse is good and you can hear the motor, or the glass acts like it wants to move, then you’ve got some sort of mechanical problem”

There is no sound – I watched a YouTube video on that today and ran out to try it… nope nada on either side – it does nothing at all… no sound, no movement – nothing
So I’m thinking gonna be bad… hope for good, but thinking is bad

Dead on both sides is actually a good sign!! HIGH chance it’s just the fuse!!

Nope key only. Electronic door locks and windows but only when you inside the car lol

One final possibility, esp if your car was parked in the sun: “Overheated [window] motors often cause intermittent problems. When the motor — located inside the door — cools down, it may start working again.”
